One Short Day In Antiva City

Davrin might have forgotten Lucanis' offer about the tailor, but he had not. Not all of their excursions were for fighting demons or cultists or darkspawn, and eventually Rook was going treasure hunting on the Rivani coast with Taash and Harding. And just them. Quite adamant that only Taash and Harding were needed, in fact.
Andraste preserve them, Rook was apparently becoming interested in matchmaking.
It worked out, though. The timing. Lucanis ever so casually mentions that Davrin promised to assist him in some errands in Antiva and Rook is just so happy they're not at each other's throats that they're told to not take however long they need. Lucanis makes a mental note to pick up something nice for Rook when they're in Antiva City.
Ah, Antiva City. A less beautiful Treviso, Lucanis used to say. That was before the Ossuary, before the occupation, before the blight. Now it's hard to not see everything that's been lost. He doesn't insult Davrin by assuming the man can't keep up with the Crow routes along the rooftops and across ziplines, so much faster than the weaving crowded streets up the hill the city is built on overlooking the harbor the few times they need to duck down to street level.
"Should be right around - ah, there it is," Lucanis declares once they're half way up the hill, the financial district of the city settled between the Palace at the top and the harbor and all the wealth the shipping industry brings. This time when he drops down to the street level it is where they'll stay for the time being, heading to an understated store front with a simple hanging sign that looks like an embroidered rose carved into the wood of it.

His lips eagerly met Davrin's when they got up to there, legs bumping into the edge of the bed as he tugged Davrin onto it with him to tumble onto the mattress.
no subject
"Let's bring this back to the Lighthouse, too."
no subject
"Mmm, I was planning on bringing the pillows back and leaving them on your bed."
The confession was murmured against Davrin's lips, Lucanis smiling as clever fingers looked for the fastenings for Davrin's armor to get that off, too.
no subject
"Ah, you were already planning on moving in."
no subject
He couldn't get enough of Davrin and didn't want to move away from him, not for an instant. Every opened fastening had a hand sliding inside, distracted further with caressing every bit of Davrin that was released by the removal.
"If I'm going to wake up tied up in your bed, it's in my best interest to make sure it's well stocked."
A justification, sure. He also just wanted to do something nice for Davrin, even if he wasn't going to be waking up in that bed tied up.

It was the kind of thing that was far easier to offer when they were already in the midst of stripping each other in a bed. Offering a little bondage between kissing and taking off his chest plate was far easier than a measured conversation addressing if Lucanis' experience imprisoned took that totally off the table. And now that Davrin was down to his undershirt, he took apparent offense at Lucanis' own armor, redoubling efforts to get it out of the way.
no subject
"I think I would like to try that."
The words were spoken between kisses, between warm laughter as Davrin stripped him of his leathers. They were the extra fancy ones, too, full of hidden catches and some entirely for show fastenings. So much of Crow politics was performance, knowing what they'd be walking into he had selected his armor carefully. Even his under-clothes were nicer than normal, though he'd expected (hoped) only Davrin would be seeing those.
"Better?"
He asked against Davrin's lips when his armor was a pile of stiff leather on the floor.
no subject
Straps that were just for show. With how much he wanted to actually touch the man, Lucanis should count himself lucky the armor hadn't gotten tossed in the fire place as a punishment for it slowing him down. Davrin didn't fuss with actually removing the underclothes for a moment, just running his hands up and under them along Lucanis' sides, both palms flat against the hot skin.
no subject
How appealing Davrin was when a little frustrated was noted and filed away for later- because now it was possible that Lucanis would be in such a state soon enough. He groaned at the touch of warm hands against flushed skin, arching into it, rocking his hips against Davrin's.
no subject
He caught Lucanis in another kiss to make up for the teasing insult, however. Breaking it only to tug that shirt up and over his head. He paused for a moment after, trailing one hand down along his sternum, tracing the light hair humans had leading down past his naval. Open appreciation on his face as he stared up at the man straddling him.
"Good thing I caught you in time."
no subject
"Mmm. Just imagine who else I could have devoured if you hadn't caught me first. Perish the thought."
no subject
"You haven't seen how Neve watches you walk away," he punctuated the statement by dragging his nails down along his side, leaving his own marks. "There could've been turf wars if I didn't move fast."
no subject
"Staking your claim? Maybe I should start leaving my shirt so open, too."
He's certain everyone has been caught staring at Davrin's chest at one point or another. The Warden is like something out of a romantic novel where bodices are ripped, if given five minutes and a glass of wine he could probably even come up with a Randy Dowager review of it. He leaned back just enough to admire his work and felt a flush of pleasure all over again to see Davrin on his bed like this. Lucanis had to wonder if Davrin got the same warm possessive flush when Lucanis was on his.
"I adore you."
no subject
Though, really, he should have. For all his inexperience in relationships and brooding nature, Lucanis was a soft heart under all the armor. Even though Lucanis didn't need it, that fact made Davrin want to curl around the man just as much as Irene ever had and fight anyone that tried to take advantage of that. Anyone that tried to tell him it was wrong.
He took one hand away from his side to run up along his cheek to his temple, then burying his fingers in the Crow's hair.
"I could lend you one of my shirts. Make sure there's no question who claimed you."
Because it was a truly well and done deal now. His First Talon.

But then that hand went into his hair and Davrin offered such a clear token of favor and Lucanis sighed with so much pleasure, leaning in to the touch to his hair.
"Yes. I think I would like that quite a lot, Orsacchiotto."
no subject
Lucanis' obvious enjoyment of that idea, sent a shiver of something down his spine. Keeping his fingers in his hair gentle, he used his other arm and hips to attempt to roll them, to take his turn to pin the assassin beneath him.
"Good, ma da'mi."
no subject
"Ma da'mi," it was Lucanis' turn to stumble over the unfamiliar words, making them sound more Antivan with his accent than Dalish. "What does it mean?"
no subject
"My little dagger."
He'd named his griffon, the only other living creature he'd ever sworn to care for, arrow. So he was a predictable elf. He could live with that.
no subject
But he was grinning too, eyes going soft and adoration open on his face as his thumbs ran along Davrin's cheeks. So similar to the name of the griffon, it warms him in an entirely different way than he already was. Such a sign of affection and care.
He pulled Davrin down for another kiss, smiling against his mouth.
"Say it again."
no subject
He returned the kiss, then made his way down to his neck to return the earlier favor of leaving a mark. Very purposely remarking the spot he'd bruised in the forest.
"Though it can also just mean small, ma da'mi."
no subject
"I- ah - object to the size," Lucanis had to insist, though even now his voice was trailing off, protest quickly being forgotten in favor of the feeling of Davrin's mouth against his sensitive throat. His hands went down further, shifting his grip so he could grab onto Davrin's ass to pull his hips closer.
no subject
"Mm, hidden blade isn't as poetic."
no subject
"What would - ah - that be?"
He didn't know whether to laugh or moan at the whole affair, moving his legs and lifting his hips to ease Davrin's way, breath hitching just a bit as a lingering memory of shyness came to the surface just long enough to acknowledge its presence. He'd been naked around Davrin, they'd shared the baths together, but naked and the whole intent being to enjoy themselves and each other was a whole different kettle of fish, as they said in the south. He distracted himself from it by reaching out to tug at the fastenings for Davrin's pants, too. Keep up, Warden.
no subject
"I'll teach you all the Elvhen secrets when I don't have a better use for that mouth."
Like, say, trying to kiss him as deeply and possessively as possible while still allowing Lucanis to undress him.
no subject
"You're gorgeous. How did I end up with the most handsome man in Thedas in my bed?"
