I would question your ability to make good choices, yes.
And unfortunately yes, the Antaam. Treviso was targeted by one of their number when they broke off from the rest of the Qun. Given some of their other self proclaimed warlords we have encountered in travels I honestly cannot say the Butcher is the worst of them, but given he is in MY city I have a very personal grudge.
Is that a good choice? I am under the impression that southern circles had ... much to be desired.
I confess I do not know the inner workings of politics within the Qun, but I do not think so. I believe there was general unrest even before that and the "current" Arishok simply lost control. All men are men no matter their religion, and when you have enough armies at your beck and call ready to listen to you without question, some will always break for conquest.
According to most of southern Thedas it was the only good choice. My father made it sound like the dullest forced camp for Maker-fearing children. Said the food left much to be desired. No coffee I understand, but no tea? Andraste save us.
That's a relief. Not the rampaging Qunari all over your city bit, of course, but the knowledge that I didn't pluck that problem out of Kirkwall to throw it somewhere north. For what it's worth, I'm sorry. Needless to say, I have experience with Qunari armies overstaying their welcome.

It didn't have anything to do with the Arishok getting killed, did it? Not the hornless one, the one before.

Killing their leaders usually works pretty well.

You make him sound reasonable.
[ Lucanis is not sure how he feels about that. Then again, Rook is close with Emmrich who is much the same about Spite, isn't he? That makes sense. ]
